Sohail Afridi challenges PML-N in Punjab, promising to quit politics if their rally draws more public participation.
Peshawar: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has issued an open political challenge to PML-N in Punjab. He stated that PML-N can choose any city, day, and time, while PTI will also select a city of its choice.
Afridi declared that if PML-N’s rally attracts more public participation, he will quit politics. Both parties need an equal political platform to accurately gauge public support.
He further added that if PTI’s rally is larger, PML-N must answer for its public mandate and performance. Afridi urged PML-N to review its political strategy and leadership.
Afridi stated that if PML-N is confident in its government’s performance and public popularity, it should not hesitate to accept the challenge. According to him, the decision should be based on public participation and response.
It is noteworthy that Afridi visited Lahore as part of PTI’s public outreach campaign in Punjab. During his visit, he met with party leaders and mobilized workers for the September 27 protest.
