Ishaq Dar meets Turkish and UK envoys to discuss regional affairs and cooperation.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held meetings with the Turkish Ambassador and the British High Commissioner. The discussions focused on regional affairs and mutual cooperation.
According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar emphasized to Ambassador Irfan that dialogue and diplomacy are the viable paths for resolving issues. Talks also covered enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The Turkish Ambassador highlighted the importance of high-level contacts between Pakistan and Turkey. He informed about progress on bilateral institutional mechanisms.
Ishaq Dar expressed a desire to deepen cooperation with Turkey in priority sectors. Preparations for the Joint Commission and High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be prioritized.
It is noteworthy that British High Commissioner Jane Marriott also met with Ishaq Dar. Discussions included bilateral relations and the implementation of agreements.
