Oil Companies Demand Increase in Petrol and Diesel Margins from OGRA

Islamabad: (RightNow) Oil marketing companies have demanded an increase in petrol and diesel margins. They have requested a rise of Rs 1.22 per liter.

The Oil Companies Advisory Council has written to the OGRA chairman, requesting the payment of pending price claims worth Rs 66 billion. The council states these claims have been pending since March 2026.

The letter urges the swift completion of claim verification to facilitate payment. The margin for oil marketing companies was last increased in September 2023.

The council also noted that a recent increase of Rs 1.34 per liter was implemented for petroleum dealers.

It is noteworthy that the Rs 1.22 per liter margin increase for OMCs has not yet been notified, causing concern among companies.
