Islamabad: (RightNow). The government and the All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association have successfully concluded negotiations. Association Vice Chairman Nauman Butt stated that all concerns of petrol pump owners have been addressed. There are no objections to the fuel subsidy scheme now.

According to Nauman Butt, there were concerns regarding the payment method, which the government resolved during the negotiations. The government assured that the subsidy amount will be returned within 24 hours.

The Vice Chairman mentioned that the subsidy amount will be returned through the State Bank. The funds are available with the State Bank, and if not returned within 24 hours, the government will work with the association to resolve the issue.

According to the Petroleum Division’s statement, a special control room has been established to facilitate petrol pumps and address complaints. The aim is to resolve issues promptly.

It is noteworthy that under the fuel subsidy scheme, the government had promised to provide subsidies to petrol pump owners. The scheme aims to stabilize petrol prices.
