Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the expansion of the fuel relief scheme to provide more benefits to the public. He has ordered the immediate inclusion of 20-year-old motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi (three-wheelers) in the scheme.

All motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi registered after January 1, 2006, will be eligible for registration under the scheme. This will benefit those operating 20-year-old motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi.

Anwar Kamal stated that it is not feasible to place the financial burden of the relief scheme on dealers, and the government will not provide petrol under the current relief scheme.

Shaza Fatima mentioned that there is a relief of 20 liters of petrol for 2 and 3-wheeler vehicles, while a subsidy is provided for up to 30 liters of petrol for vehicles up to 800cc.

It is important to note that this initiative aims to protect the public from rising fuel prices and provide relief to the middle class.
