Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude as Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves reach a record high of $21.4 billion. He considers this milestone a significant step towards economic stability.

The Prime Minister stated that this level of reserves is the result of the economic team’s hard work and correct measures. Improvements in remittances and service exports have enhanced the current account.

He mentioned that access to international capital markets has restored global confidence. The increase in reserves will strengthen the capacity for external payments.

The Prime Minister noted that economic stability will boost investment opportunities and open new doors for sustainable development.

It is noteworthy that the State Bank announced yesterday that after Eurobond inflows, reserves have surpassed $26.79 billion.
