Lahore: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced the resumption of his ‘Street Movement’ in Lahore. He accuses Punjab Police of arresting workers and blocking routes.

Afridi claims police blocked roads and closed petrol pumps to hinder protestors. He alleges attempts were made to prevent vehicles from receiving fuel.

In a video message, Afridi stated he will return to the streets on Tuesday at 5 PM. He noted that despite no formal call for protest on Monday, people still took to the streets.

Afridi accused the police of moving him around the city without security, calling it an abduction. He described these incidents as part of a conspiracy, not coincidences.

It is noteworthy that Afridi has criticized the Punjab government, stating that tactics to stop his movement will fail. He warned that if police behavior does not change, a response will follow the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session.
