Hockey India Rejects Pakistan’s Neutral Venue Request for Champions Trophy

Hockey India has rejected Pakistan’s request for a neutral venue, requiring them to play in India.

New Delhi: (RightNow) Hockey India has rejected the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s request to hold the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy matches at a neutral venue.

Hockey India Secretary Bhola Nath Singh stated that there will be no change in the venue. Pakistan must come to India if they wish to participate.

He further mentioned that Bangladesh and Oman are included as reserve teams. If Pakistan does not participate, an alternate team will be included.

It is important to note that the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy will be held from October 27 to November 5 in Mohali and Jalandhar. The PHF had requested a neutral venue.

The PHF has stated that under the current circumstances, the Pakistani team cannot be sent to India.
