Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari expressed disappointment over the absence of party workers to welcome Chief Minister Sohail Afridi upon his arrival in Lahore. Afridi visited Lahore after a year.

Bukhari stated that during Afridi’s visit, a person attributed the death of Ishtiaq to an accident, with no involvement from the government or Punjab police. No PTI leader contacted the family for 17 days.

She mentioned that Afridi’s guards assaulted the individual, and there was further misconduct with journalists in Lahore. Ishtiaq’s son’s statement also indicated it was an accident.

The Information Minister accused PTI’s YouTubers of misrepresenting the incident. Afridi arrived in Lahore as a public stunt, and there was misconduct with Punjab police officers during his entry.

It is noteworthy that no PTI leader has visited the late Zill Shah’s family for three years. Despite a coal mine accident in Kohat, 530 kilometers away, Afridi chose to visit Lahore.
