Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistan has strongly protested against the violation by Indian naval ship INS Kolkata in its exclusive economic zone. The Foreign Office summoned the Indian High Commission’s chargé d’affaires to lodge the protest.

The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that on September 15, the Indian ship made a provocative move in the Pakistani zone. The Indian chargé d’affaires was informed that India must adhere to international laws.

Pakistan emphasized that India should refrain from such actions. The movement of the Indian naval ship was termed a blatant violation of bilateral agreements.

According to the Foreign Office, the Indian ship attempted to collide with a Pakistani naval vessel. The professional skills of the Pakistan Navy averted the crisis.

It is noteworthy that this action by the Indian ship during Pakistan Navy exercises violates the 1991 agreement. Pakistan has warned India to take immediate measures.
