Islamabad: (RightNow) The only surviving child from the PIMS Hospital fire, Ezel, has passed away. The tragic incident had already claimed the lives of 14 children.

Ezel was rescued by a nurse and transferred to the ICU, where she remained under treatment. Her condition was critical due to smoke inhalation.

Ezel’s mother, Asifa Bibi, stated that Ezel was 6 months and 10 days old and was their first child. She was affected by the smoke, which worsened her condition.

PIMS administration is conducting an investigation, while Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident.

It is noteworthy that the fire at PIMS Hospital occurred recently, resulting in the deaths of 14 children, and investigations are ongoing.
