Lahore: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Soheil Afridi stated in Lahore that Maryam Nawaz faces threats from other provinces, while he feels no threat from the people of Punjab.

Afridi, speaking to party workers at Do Moriya Bridge, expressed that Punjab is his and he belongs to Punjabis. He mentioned that Maryam Nawaz has been rejected by the people of Punjab and the current Chief Minister is in power through fake votes.

He further added that Punjab police martyred Ishtiaq Ahmed, who was preparing for a Milad, and he does not require security from Punjab police.

Afridi visited the home of deceased worker Ishtiaq Ahmed to offer condolences to the family. Prior to his arrival, police reached Chamra Mandi and closed nearby shops.

It is noteworthy that according to the district administration, Section 144 will be enforced.
