Islamabad: (RightNow) The Supreme Court has requested clarification from the Attorney General regarding the hearing of Imran Khan’s hospital transfer case, questioning whether the Federal Constitutional Court can hear this case.

The three-member bench, led by Justice Shahid Waheed, raised questions about paragraph 6 of the Constitutional Court’s order. The Additional Attorney General stated that the Federal Constitutional Court issued an order yesterday and requested the case record.

Justice Shahid Waheed expressed displeasure over the absence of government officials, and the Attorney General informed that the order remains effective. The court questioned the absence of Adiala Jail officials and hinted at issuing warrants.

This case is significant as the founder of PTI has requested records for interim relief, and proceedings are ongoing between the Constitutional Court and Islamabad High Court.

It is noteworthy that the court did not find the need for constitutional interpretation in criminal and contempt of court applications. Lawyer Salman Akram Raja has promised to assist the court, and the hearing has been adjourned for three weeks.
