Nepal: (RightNow) China has issued a warning about the potential bursting of a large lake near the Nepal border. The lake currently holds 2 million cubic meters of water, with an additional 3 million cubic meters expected to enter.

Chinese authorities have stated they are closely monitoring the lake and are prepared to address the potential flood threat. Sudden floods and landslides have already caused significant destruction in Nepal.

According to Chinese state media, 3 people have died and 558 are missing in Tibet, including 260 foreigners. Rescue operations in Nepal are facing difficulties.

It is noted that 359 people have died and over 1,300 are missing in Nepal, including foreign tourists. Most affected are Indian citizens visiting the sacred site of Kailash.

Rescue efforts in Nepal are hindered by mountainous paths, rain, and further flood threats, increasing the risk of casualties and financial loss.
