Punjab government launches daily audits to evaluate Clean Punjab Campaign, revealing sanitation issues.
Lahore: (RightNow) The Punjab government has decided to conduct daily audits to assess the performance of the Clean Punjab Campaign. This initiative aims to evaluate the cleanliness conditions across the province.
According to the 2025 audit report, Sargodha has the highest accumulation of sewage and waste. Lahore also faces issues with waste piles and sewage at 46 locations.
The report highlights that deputy commissioners have been instructed to take immediate action against negligence in cleanliness. This directive is aimed at improving the sanitation situation.
Despite the provincial government’s major claims of cleanliness, the audit report exposes a significant gap between ground realities and government assertions. This discrepancy could be a concern for the public.
It is noteworthy that the Clean Punjab Campaign was launched a few years ago with the goal of improving cleanliness across the province.
