Kathmandu: (RightNow) Indian actor Ankur Ratan and his family narrowly escaped severe floods in Nepal during their Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage. Their convoy passed through Rasuwa district just hours before the floods struck.

The floods at the Nepal-Tibet border have resulted in 359 deaths and over 850 missing, including more than 250 Indians. These individuals were on a religious tour in the Himalayan region.

Ankur Ratan stated that their convoy had passed the flood site 12 to 16 hours earlier. A delay in their journey could have made them victims.

This incident highlights the significance of their escape. Mansi Parekh was also on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage and remained safe.

It is noteworthy that the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage is an important religious journey for Hindus, attracting large numbers from India.
