Beijing: (RightNow) A 2,300-year-old preserved wine jar has been unearthed in China’s Shanjiabao cemetery. This discovery occurred 2 kilometers from the ancient Kin Great Wall.

The wine was found near the Kin Great Wall, part of the current Great Wall of China, mentioned by Mao Zedong in 1935.

Researchers state it is among the ancient great walls. Its significance is highlighted in the Journal of Archaeological Science.

Chen Ruruo, a PhD candidate at Northwest University, said the study reveals ancient grain usage techniques.

It is noteworthy that this discovery relates to the ancient Warring States period, where the jar was found completely sealed.
