Trump stated that his administration is preparing sanctions against Chinese banks. When questioned by journalists, he remarked, ‘You don’t know if I’m doing it or not.’

So far, the US Treasury has not imposed sanctions on major Chinese banks, but some companies in China and Hong Kong have been sanctioned. These companies support the Iranian government.
