Mexico City: (RightNow) Mexico’s National Guard has enlisted a very small dog into its ranks. Despite its small size, the dog is taking on significant responsibilities.

The small dog, aged 13 months, is tasked with search and rescue duties within the National Guard. It has demonstrated its technical skills during training sessions.

Lieutenant Deborah Hernandez states that the dog, named Commando, has proven that small dogs can play important roles in the National Guard.

The dog participates in civic events, school functions, and community programs alongside the police, showcasing its abilities.

It is noteworthy that the Mexico National Guard has 350 dogs, mostly large German Shepherds, and small dogs are typically not included in security forces.
