Gaza: (RightNow) The United Nations reports that 61 million tons of debris have accumulated in Gaza due to Israeli attacks, which may take 10 years to clear. This will be a significant cleanup effort.

According to the UN, if all resources are available, the debris clearance could take seven to ten years. This will be the largest cleanup effort in Gaza’s history.

The amount of debris in Gaza is reported to be 61 million tons. Jaco Cilliers stated that this is 20 times more than the debris produced in wars worldwide over the past 18 years.

Jaco Cilliers mentioned that the clearance work is being conducted under dangerous conditions due to unexploded bombs beneath the debris.

It is important to note that the Israeli attacks in Gaza occurred during recent tensions, resulting in widespread destruction.
