The statement mentioned that talks between PTI and the government ended without significant results. The main issue was the denial of immediate access to Imran Khan. Security strategy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also discussed.
PTI stated that consulting Imran Khan is essential for national decisions. The government has not prioritized terrorism issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PTI declared the eradication of terrorism a national priority.
The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have suffered heavy losses due to terrorism. PTI paid tribute to the martyred personnel. A joint strategy between the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is needed.
It is noteworthy that Imran Khan’s health was also discussed in the talks. A demand was made to transfer him to Shifa International. The government showed willingness for meetings with family and lawyers.
