Islamabad: (RightNow) Antiques valued at 20 million rupees have been stolen from the home of Nawab Shehzada Bahawal Abbas Khan Abbasi in Sector F-8. Police have arrested 6 suspects in connection with the theft.

According to the police, the stolen antiques include a silver throne-like chair, silver stairs, gold plates, and rare statues. Historical guns and swords were also taken from the house.

A case has been registered at the Margalla police station, naming a domestic worker as the main suspect. The police have arrested the suspect and initiated an investigation.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza stated that 70 to 80 percent of the stolen items have been recovered. Efforts are ongoing for further recovery and investigation.

It is noteworthy that there has been an increase in theft incidents in Islamabad recently. This week alone, items worth 34 million rupees have been stolen in 8 incidents.
