Makkah: (RightNow) This morning, a unique astronomical event will occur as the moon aligns directly over the Kaaba in Makkah. This is the second time this year that the moon will reach this specific position.

According to Engineer Majid Abu Zahra, head of the Jeddah Astronomical Society, the moon will be at its highest point at 7:50 AM local time. In Pakistan, this will be at 9:50 AM.

The moon’s angle will be 89.87 degrees, making it appear directly above the Kaaba to observers in Makkah. While visible to the naked eye, the moon will appear dim in the morning light.

Astronomers suggest that this moon position is not only beautiful but can also serve as a natural guide. Muslims can use its direction to determine the direction of the Kaaba.

It is important to note that this moon position naturally indicates the direction of the Qibla, serving as a guide for those in remote areas.
