Islamabad: (RightNow) Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry questions PTI’s demands, asking which are unconstitutional or unfeasible. He states these demands include condemning terrorists, eliminating terrorist hideouts in the province, and implementing foreign policy regarding Afghanistan.

The minister adds that other demands involve the repatriation of Afghan refugees, revising the KP Police Act, cooperating with the military against terrorists, and implementing the National Action Plan.

Tariq Fazal also mentions that the PTI delegation lacked full negotiation authority. He suggests provincial representation would have been beneficial, emphasizing the goal was not to stop the long march but to end terrorism.

PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai states that negotiations are possible if both parties show flexibility. He adds that the terrorism issue is 26 years old and cannot be resolved in 72 hours.

It is noteworthy that the federal government should have discussed the National Action Plan with the province. Given more time, negotiations could have succeeded.
