Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasizes providing quality education to talented and deserving students as a top government priority. A review meeting on the establishment of Danesh University was held, where progress on various directives was discussed.

The Prime Minister stated that Danesh University will offer world-class education to Pakistan’s talented students. He mentioned that the university will become a hub for educational and research facilities, along with technology.

It was reported in the meeting that student admissions to Danesh University will be based on merit from across Pakistan. Additionally, 185 faculty positions have received applications, and the selection process is ongoing.

It is important to note that Danesh University will launch advanced programs in bioengineering, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science, and sociology. A bridge program for students will also be initiated.

The university building is expected to be completed by next year, with formal academic activities commencing on September 20, 2027. Federal ministers and other senior officials attended the meeting.
