Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif eases fuel subsidy registration, benefiting low-income groups.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has provided additional relief in the petroleum subsidy scheme for low and middle-income groups. Under his directive, free registration is now available in the subsidy scheme.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, fuel subsidies are being provided nationwide to owners of motorcycles, rickshaws, and vehicles up to 800cc. This includes regions like Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Consumers must send a free message to 9771 with ‘REG’, their ID card number, vehicle number plate, the first letter of the registration province, and the registration date.
Complete details of the fuel subsidy scheme are available on the Urdu website www.pmfuelrelief.pk. This will facilitate public registration.
It is noteworthy that the purpose of the petroleum subsidy scheme is to provide economic relief to the low-income group and is part of the Prime Minister’s public welfare program.
