Initial investigation of Rizwan and Imam’s phones shows no significant findings, says NCCIA.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Initial investigations into the mobile phones of national cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq reveal no significant findings. The NCCIA had summoned the players on its own notice, where their phones were taken for forensic analysis.
Sources indicate that messages and contacts on the players’ phones were reviewed. Social media information related to dressing room leaks was also part of the investigation.
Mohammad Rizwan questioned why his phone has not been returned. However, further forensic analysis continues at the Islamabad headquarters, where financial transactions are being traced.
NCCIA sources stated that the report will be sent to PCB officials, who will decide on the players. Imam-ul-Haq and Rizwan were questioned, but no formal questionnaire was provided.
It is noteworthy that these investigations are being conducted under the forensic analysis of the players’ mobile phones to detect any possible transactions or financial dealings.
