Lahore: (RightNow) The Lahore High Court has dismissed the petition filed by national cricketer Mohammad Rizwan against the notices issued by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). The hearing was conducted by Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice Alia Neelum.

Mohammad Rizwan raised questions regarding the jurisdiction and nature of the NCCIA’s investigations. He requested to halt the NCCIA’s proceedings until a final decision on the petition. The petition questioned the NCCIA’s jurisdiction.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan claimed that the NCCIA did not specify any allegations in the summons. He inquired why his mobile phone has not been returned yet. Rizwan’s lawyer stated that they have submitted a response to the NCCIA’s notice.

The matter of Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq’s appearance before the NCCIA is ongoing. Rizwan challenged the NCCIA’s summons in the Lahore High Court. The NCCIA had given both players a questionnaire, which was to be answered by September 15.

It is noteworthy that Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq were called back from the England tour. Subsequently, investigations against them began, and Imam-ul-Haq has submitted his responses to the questionnaire.
