The federal government has taken strict actions regarding the incident. The federal health secretary has been suspended. A committee led by the former interior secretary is conducting an investigation.

The fire resulted in heavy smoke in the nursery, affecting the respiratory systems of infants. The interruption of oxygen supply led to the deaths of newborns.

It is important to note that there was a disagreement between the CDA fire brigade and the PIMS administration regarding the incident. The PIMS administration deemed the fire system satisfactory, while the CDA pointed out inadequate arrangements.
