Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasizes the national duty to assist flood victims, urging swift delivery of relief supplies to affected areas. He instructed authorities to assess damage to homes and crops and present a report.

The Prime Minister stated financial aid should be provided to owners of fully and partially destroyed homes. He emphasized collaboration among all institutions to support flood victims and announced financial assistance for affected families.

He directed NDMA and PDMAs to accelerate joint relief operations and ensure preparedness for upcoming rains and floods.

During a briefing, it was reported that early warning systems helped relocate citizens to safe areas. Efforts to deliver relief supplies are ongoing.

It is noteworthy that Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the urgent delivery of relief supplies and cash to affected districts. So far, 615 tons of relief supplies have been dispatched to the affected areas.
