Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered effective action against tax evasion, smuggling, and illegal businesses. He participated in a weekly review meeting on FBR reforms.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on the restructuring of PRAL. He instructed to accelerate actions against tax evasion, smuggling, and illegal businesses.

The Prime Minister emphasized completing tax system reforms within the stipulated time and ensuring third-party audits of these reforms.

He stated that tax system reforms are essential for national development, and digitalization and automation should be part of FBR reforms.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister has praised the appointment of reputable goods evaluators in FBR and commended the efforts of the FBR Chairman.
