Google has added a Maps tool to the Gemini AI app, currently available for mobile users.
San Francisco: (RightNow) Google has integrated its popular Maps service into the Gemini AI app. This new Maps tool is currently available only on mobile devices.
According to Android Authority, testing of this Maps tool began in February 2026. It is now officially launched on Android and iOS platforms.
The new tool features photos, camera, avatars, and other functionalities. Users can view their location on the map and search for specific places.
The Maps tool includes zoom in and out capabilities. Additionally, the ‘Explore the Area’ option provides users with more information.
It is noteworthy that this Maps tool is currently available on the Gemini mobile app. It may soon be introduced for desktop users as well.
