Washington: (RightNow) The US has bolstered its defense systems in the Gulf by deploying two additional Patriot missile batteries in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

According to US officials, these deployments aim to protect key energy installations in both countries from potential attacks. A battery was sent to Saudi Arabia last month, while another was deployed to safeguard a natural gas facility in Qatar.

The US seeks to assure Saudi Arabia and Qatar that if actions against Iran commence, Washington will aid in protecting their vital oil and gas infrastructure.

It is important to note that Saudi and Qatari leadership have already expressed concerns over potential military actions against Iran, fearing retaliatory strikes on their energy facilities.

This development comes as the US increases its military presence in the region, moving more naval and military resources to the Middle East.
