Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting to review the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting discussed constitutional and legal options.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed on law and order, while the Law Minister discussed constitutional matters. The possibility of governor’s rule and emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was considered.
The Prime Minister instructed all stakeholders to be taken into confidence. The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa dismissed rumors of governor’s rule, promising a peaceful march.
Recent attacks have raised concerns about the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PTI rejected federal allegations and praised the province’s sacrifices.
It is noteworthy that attacks occurred on September 18 in Kohat and September 26 in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the martyrdom of several individuals, including police officers.
