Islamabad: (RightNow) Two youths were arrested for planning a murder with the help of an artificial intelligence chatbot. The chatbot informed the FBI, which then alerted Pakistani authorities.

One of the arrested youths is from Bahawalpur and the other from Karachi. They were influenced by American crime dramas and were planning murders inspired by them.

Authorities stated that the youths had separate plans. The Bahawalpur youth attempted to poison his father, while the Karachi youth planned to kill a police officer’s son.

This case is significant as it highlights how artificial intelligence can prevent potential crimes, opening new avenues for law enforcement.

It is noteworthy that these youths were influenced by popular crime dramas and sought guidance from the chatbot ‘Claude’, which reported their suspicious conversations.
