Islamabad: (RightNow) In light of the long march, Islamabad’s government schools will close from September 22. This decision aims to maintain law and order in the city.

Sources indicate that 24 government schools in Islamabad will be closed, with accommodations being arranged for additional police forces in these schools. The measure is to handle any potential emergencies.

Further reports reveal that educational activities in these closed schools will remain suspended. The Federal Directorate of Education has yet to establish a policy for online education or alternative means.

It is important to note that Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have announced a long march towards Islamabad. Containers have been placed on various roads in the capital to maintain peace and order.

The Federal Interior Minister has warned that any attempt to shut down the federal capital will be dealt with strictly according to the law.
