Lahore: (RightNow) The Lahore High Court has postponed the hearing of Aleema Khan’s detention case to September 25. The petition was filed by her son, Shah Zair.

The court questioned why the petition was filed without approaching the relevant forum first. Justice Abhar Gul Khan stated that the relevant authority should be approached initially.

Lawyer Rana Mudasir Umar informed the court that the detention notification and DIC were issued on the same day, which is unusual. The court raised questions on this matter.

The lawyer further stated that despite Aleema Khan’s involvement in the May 9 incidents, the detention decision was made. The court inquired if she had been granted bail in all her cases.

It is noteworthy that the court has granted time for the lawyer’s preparation and postponed Aleema Khan’s case proceedings to September 25.
