Government and Petroleum Dealers Agree on Fuel Relief Package, Deadlock Ends

The government and petroleum dealers have successfully negotiated a fuel relief package, with payments to begin within 48 hours.

Islamabad: (RightNow). The government and petroleum dealers have successfully negotiated a fuel relief package. Following the successful talks, petroleum dealers have started implementing the package.

According to the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, negotiations with the government were successful, and a notification regarding the payment mechanism will be issued soon. It has been agreed that the relief package payments will be transferred to the dealers’ accounts via the State Bank within 48 hours.

The PPDA stated that the government will soon issue a notification regarding the payment mechanism. The Petroleum Minister has also assured improved consultations with stakeholders in the future.

The agreement on the fuel relief package has paved the way for implementation, ending the deadlock that had persisted for several days.

It is noteworthy that the leadership of the Petroleum Dealers Association, including Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Tariq Hassan, Anwar Kamal, and Malik Sher Khan, participated in this meeting.
