Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announces expansion of its London operations with 7 daily flights. Starting October 27, 5 flights will operate from Islamabad and 2 from Lahore.

PIA spokesperson states that currently, there are 4 weekly flights to London. This increase reflects growing passenger confidence and demand.

The initiative aims to provide more convenience and options for travelers. It will benefit overseas Pakistanis with additional travel opportunities.

It is noteworthy that in June 2020, the European Union and the UK imposed a ban on PIA due to safety concerns following a Karachi crash that killed nearly 100 people.

Remember, the European Union lifted the ban on November 28, 2024, and the UK allowed Pakistani flights in July 2025. PIA resumed London flights in March 2026.
