Islamabad: (RightNow) The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) has released attendance details for the 29th session of the National Assembly. Out of 332 members, only 65, or 20%, attended all 8 sessions held from August 17 to 28.

According to FAFEN, 37 members, making up 11% of the total, did not attend any session. Meanwhile, 267 members, or 80%, attended at least one session.

The report highlights that the fourth session had the highest attendance, with 247 members, or 74%, present. The fifth session saw the lowest attendance, with 179 members, or 54%, attending.

FAFEN’s report also notes that among the ministers, one federal minister attended all sessions. However, 3 ministers, including 2 federal ministers and 1 minister of state, did not attend any session.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister attended only one out of the 8 sessions, while the Leader of the Opposition attended 7 out of 8 sessions. Among federal ministers, 12 were present during question time, and 4 out of 8 members responded to attention notices.
