Dubai: (RightNow) Seven passengers were arrested after chaos erupted on PIA flight PK-212 from Dubai to Islamabad. The disturbance occurred due to a delay, prompting security intervention.

PIA spokesperson Abdullah Khan stated that operational delays led to unrest among some passengers, resulting in their arrest. The flight’s departure from Dubai was delayed by 3.5 hours due to regional conditions.

According to the spokesperson, Dubai airport authorities had scheduled intervals between flights for safety reasons. Passengers were provided meals on the ground during the wait.

The flight crew thwarted an attempt to enter the cockpit, but a passenger damaged a window. Dubai security officials opened the aircraft door to detain the disruptive passengers.

It is noteworthy that an Emirates flight from Islamabad to Dubai was also delayed last night. Tensions in the Middle East have caused flight delays, affecting passengers.
