Islamabad: (RightNow) The Anti-Terrorism Court has reissued arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. The court has also issued warrants for other individuals involved in the November 26 protest case.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the hearing, issuing arrest warrants for Sohail Afridi, Junaid Akbar, and others. The court expressed displeasure over the police’s delay in submitting the charge sheet and instructed them to present it promptly.
The police failed to submit the charge sheet today, leading to the court’s frustration. The hearing has been adjourned until October 9. A case is registered at Margalla Police Station against PTI leaders and workers.
This case pertains to the unrest and property damage during the protests. The court has urged the police to submit the charge sheet quickly to proceed with the case.
It is noteworthy that the protests on November 26 intensified, resulting in multiple cases filed against several leaders.
