Kohat: (RightNow) A suicide blast at the Old Police Lines mosque in Kohat led to a clearance operation completed in 22 hours. During the operation, 8 terrorists were killed, and the death toll reached 23.

The Central Police Office stated that the Elite Force, CTD, and security forces have cleared key areas of the buildings. Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed was present during the operation.

IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said the terrorists’ malicious intentions were thwarted. Police, CTD, and security forces bravely confronted the attackers.

During the operation, a grenade attack injured Additional IG CTD’s hand. Police reported that the deceased included 16 police officers and 7 civilians.

It is noteworthy that a terrorist attack occurred after a blast during Friday prayers in Kohat, resulting in 21 deaths and 103 injuries.
