Islamabad: (RightNow) The Islamabad High Court has issued a ruling regarding the potential long march by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on September 27. The court stated that no political party or public official has the authority to block roads.

A three-member bench led by Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar heard the case. The bench declared that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the administration.

During the hearing, various government officials appeared in court. Videos of previous protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were also presented during the proceedings.

The Advocate General of Islamabad argued that government machinery was misused during protests. He declared the protests unconstitutional and expressed concerns over law and order.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had announced a long march on September 27. The government has previously attempted to maintain law and order during protest sit-ins.
