Rawalpindi: (RightNow) In Rawalpindi’s Chaklala area, a confrontation occurred between CCD Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghiyoor and wanted criminal Umar alias Cheena. During the encounter, Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghiyoor was martyred, while the criminal Umar was killed.

According to police, Adnan Ghiyoor was actively pursuing the criminal with his team. On Wednesday morning, upon receiving information about the criminal’s presence, Adnan Ghiyoor called for assistance.

The criminal attempted to flee, but Adnan Ghiyoor managed to restrain him. The criminal fired at close range, resulting in Adnan Ghiyoor’s martyrdom. The criminal later fled in an injured state.

CCTV footage of the criminal being restrained has surfaced. The police continued their pursuit and later killed the criminal in a shootout.

It is noteworthy that IG Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem paid tribute to Adnan Ghiyoor’s sacrifice and promised to take care of his family.
