Islamabad: (RightNow) According to the State Bank, loans provided by banks for housing construction increased by 37.2% annually in July. Consumers received loans amounting to Rs 286 billion in July.

Statistics show that in July last year, loans worth Rs 208 billion were given for housing construction. Compared to June, there was a 7.1% increase in loan provision in July. In June, the total loan amount was Rs 267 billion.

Recent figures indicate that by July 2026, the total volume of loans provided to the private sector reached Rs 10.89 trillion. This increase reflects banks’ encouragement of housing construction.

This increase is significant for the national economy as housing construction creates job opportunities in various sectors. The provision of more loans by banks can further boost economic activities.

It is noteworthy that the increase in loans for housing construction is a result of government measures aimed at developing the housing sector.
