Tehran: (RightNow) Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has instructed the government to reduce reliance on the dollar to counter U.S. economic pressure. He proposed adopting resistance economy policies.
According to state media, Khamenei emphasized reducing the economy’s dollar dependence to combat the U.S.-imposed economic war. He stressed the importance of maintaining national unity and public morale.
The Iranian Supreme Leader advised officials to avoid discouraging statements that could weaken national spirit. He stated that activities harming social cohesion would not be permitted.
He further mentioned that by better utilizing national resources and public capabilities, Iran could embark on a path of economic growth. Khamenei urged officials to keep public morale high.
It is noteworthy that Iran faces economic challenges due to U.S. sanctions and reduced trade activities in the Strait of Hormuz. Khamenei’s statement comes amid ongoing disputes with the U.S. and Israel.
