OGRA raises LPG prices; 11.8 kg cylinder now costs Rs 3,052, impacting consumers.
Islamabad: (RightNow) OGRA has increased LPG prices for September. The price per kg of LPG has risen by Rs 4.33.
According to OGRA’s notification, the price of an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 51.17. The new price for the cylinder is set at Rs 3,052.
Officials state the price hike is due to rising oil prices in the global market. The public will face additional financial burdens.
Experts say the price increase will add extra pressure on consumers’ budgets, leading to higher inflation.
It is noteworthy that last month, the price of an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder was Rs 3,000. The new increase will apply for September.
