Islamabad: (RightNow) In July 2026, the government secured $763 million in foreign financial assistance. This includes $744.6 million in loans and $18.3 million as grants.

According to the Economic Affairs Division, the foreign assistance received in July is approximately PKR 214.99 billion. This comprises PKR 209.88 billion in loans and PKR 5.10 billion in grants.

Compared to July 2025, there is a 10% increase in foreign financial assistance this July. However, there is an 81% decrease compared to June 2026, when the government received over $4 billion.

The Economic Affairs Division reports that in July 2026, bilateral countries provided $19.6 million, while international organizations contributed $252.8 million. The New Pakistan Certificate facilitated a loan of $343.9 million.

It is noteworthy that the World Bank provided a loan of $130 million, and the Asian Development Bank lent $59.1 million. China offered a guaranteed loan of $146.6 million in July.
