Lahore: (RightNow) The Punjab government extends the drone flying ban across the province for 30 days due to security concerns. This ban is imposed under Section 144(6) of the Criminal Procedure Code 1898.

The Punjab Home Department states that the ban on outdoor drone use will remain, while limited use of small drones inside halls and marquees is permitted. Event organizers will be responsible for their safe use.

Intelligence and law enforcement agencies are exempt from this ban. For agricultural, irrigation, and research purposes, drone use requires district-level approval.
